Puppy Contract Summary

Forever Friends Labradoodles Puppy Contract (Summary)

At Forever Friends Labradoodles, our goal is to place healthy, well-socialized puppies in loving homes. The following summary highlights the key terms of our puppy purchase agreement.

Companion Pet Placement

All puppies are sold as companion pets, not breeding dogs. As members of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA), we follow the ALAA Code of Ethics and require that all pet puppies be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age unless otherwise agreed upon.

Health Guarantee

Each puppy is examined by a veterinarian before going home and receives age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and preventative care.
Buyers are required to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 days of pickup to confirm the puppy’s health.
If a life-threatening illness is diagnosed within 10 days of possession, the puppy may be returned for either:
  • a full refund, or
  • a replacement puppy if available.

Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee
Forever Friends Labradoodles provides a lifetime guarantee against serious genetic or congenital conditions that significantly affect the dog’s quality of life.
Covered conditions may include:
  • Severe hip dysplasia
  • Grade 4 patella luxation
  • Severe elbow dysplasia
  • Genetic conditions such as PRA or EIC
If such a condition occurs, the breeder will either:
  • refund the purchase price, or
  • contribute toward treatment up to the purchase price.
Veterinary diagnosis and documentation are required.

Responsible Ownership

Buyers agree to provide proper care for their puppy including:
  • regular veterinary care
  • appropriate nutrition and exercise
  • training and socialization
  • maintaining the dog at a healthy weight
Owners are encouraged to participate in positive obedience training and early socialization to help the puppy develop into a well-adjusted adult dog.

Early Socialization

All Forever Friends puppies are raised in our home and begin early development programs including:
  • Puppy Culture
  • Badass Breeder Empowerment Program
Puppies are exposed to people, everyday household experiences, and age-appropriate enrichment before going home at 8 weeks of age or later.

Buyer Responsibilities

To maintain the health guarantee, buyers agree to:
  • provide routine veterinary care
  • follow vaccination schedules
  • maintain the dog in good physical condition
  • avoid early spay/neuter unless recommended by a veterinarian
  • provide documentation of spay/neuter when required
Failure to meet these responsibilities may void portions of the health guarantee.

Lifetime Rehoming Commitment

If at any point in the dog’s life the owner can no longer care for the dog, Forever Friends Labradoodles must be contacted.
Our dogs must never be surrendered to a shelter or rescue. We will always assist with rehoming if needed.
